Just So You Know…

Friday, April 6, 2012

Another installment of small snippets that cross my mind, have touched my heart, or you just need to know. Are you ready?

Just so you know… for the next year Kentucky rules. Yes we are the champions. Also should you need to part with a sofa… several students over at the college are in need of one. Apparently they burned theirs in the celebration.

Just So You Know

Friday, November 4, 2011

Another Friday to check off, another month has passed and another weekend is upon us, got plans? Want Plans?

Plans are subjective; let’s see what I accomplished this week. Did I accomplish anything? I did, but just so you know…

Gibberish

Friday, October 14, 2011

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date… nah, not really. I haven’t had an important date in years and I believe my calendar just cleared a bit more but that is a whole other story. So what am I late for?

To be totally honest I’m not sure but I feel as though I am late for something and it is frustrating. I mean what do you wear for an important meeting you have no clue about? Do I plan for a social class I’m not accustom to or a  designated driver or both?

A Misty River of Thoughts

Monday, August 15, 2011

Monday, it is Monday isn’t it? Which means the cable people will be here soon, I must get this out before they decided to disconnect to re-connect me because the storms did a number on my cable wire.

I have thought about this and truly wanted this to be an uplifting post, being it is Monday, but my mind is a fog bank. Like a river bank full of misty, illusions of floating incomplete thoughts. Anyone care to help me paddle?

Something is Amiss

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

The sun was not up and shadows danced their final waltz as I flipped the light switch. “Ah coffee, I need coffee,” my first thought on any given morning. Something was different though, something was amiss; what am I not seeing?

As I poured in the water, I giggled at the additional shadows the light created for the final waltz. Patiently waiting by the door the girls began to do the, “Let me out, I have to pee dance” and I obliged them. As the door came to I again felt that tug, “Something was not right, something is amiss; what am I not seeing?”

Hit Or Miss

Saturday, July 9, 2011

So much for adhering to a schedule, life just did not want to be scheduled. I did however, have the best intentions but then there is a saying about that. Being a good blogger was just not in the cards with it being a short week.

I did think about blogging and as I was racking my brain on how to make a window water tight in a 1 foot thick wall I really missed it! Throughout the week numerous things crossed my mind as post worthy. Rather than save them, here is what crossed my mind this week.

Come on People, I Have Questions!

Friday, June 10, 2011

Have you got a minute? I told you I had some questions and I do. Being Friday I thought it a good time to ask, it will give you the weekend to solve these little nuisances of mine. Oh and there is music.

I’m calling all you totally awesome people out there to chime in. Let me know, do you ever think like this or have encountered these. Don’t be shy, no one reads this in Washington, D.C.

Hey, What Happened to my Clarity?

Friday, June 3, 2011

I have to ask, do you ever have one of those moments when everything about your life becomes crystal clear? Perhaps it is one clear item that snowballs into another and then another, suddenly you have a vision.

Well I don’t get those. I have always let my heart guide the way, it has never let me down nor abandoned me and always made me feel like I had a purpose to my being. But lately I’m not sure and now I’m starting to think I need to see a cardiologist. I’m not sure anymore where this heart of mine is heading or what message it is trying to send.

A Mere 120 Hours

Monday, May 9, 2011

I ask, “how do you spend a 120 hours?” I sat here this Monday morning looking at my weekly rhythm list when a thought occurred to me, “how much time do I really have?”

I have this on-going list of items that during any given week I need to address. I like to break everything down; I need this first before I can start… I so believe in baby steps.
I suddenly realized 120 hours was not at all that long. Do you know how long that is?

E is for Egg

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

Haven’t we all heard or referenced the question, “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” I personally believe it was the chicken but let me explain. I’m taking a different approach to the question, evolution.

Every living thing we know today has evolved in some fashion. Adapt and survive is our world in general. My assumption is the chicken came first, because there is no proof to assume otherwise, and here is what I think evolved.

Did You See That Face?

Friday, February 25, 2011

Have you ever thought about the people you pass in one week? Actually took the time to recall those faces that left an impression. Do you have a face that leaves an impression?

This past week I got out a bit more than usual, I saw a bit more than normal and tried to recall the week in faces. You do know faces are not always on our head don’t you? Look …

Why Do, Did You, Have You…

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

I have been up since 4:30am catching up on some of the sad news being presented today. Occasionally I bite the bullet and endure the madness; it doesn’t take but a small dose to fill my cup. What about you small dose or fill ‘er up?

This morning I noticed several issues that well, just struck me as odd. As in what ever happen to common sense? Just a few of the oddities I noticed, what do you think?

How Random Can One Morning Be?

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

The randomness of Tuesday. A thought process, a method to the means, if you will, of which a daily plan is born. For me in two hours it has become the randomness of a rainy day. Can you pickle a brain?

Random thought #1: A comment from yesterday’s outing still lingering heavy on my mind. “One person cannot make a difference.” “Since when?” my brain responded. The comment was from a youth in our fair country who believes this. “Sad,” I thought. Guess they did not catch CCN’s hero episode. Where these not all one person who choose to make a difference?

Wednesday's World Solution: Come on Hear Me Out

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Yesterday I know, I went on a tangent about those lovely FEI games and my community. Which at your request, will do my best to get some good photos of the chaos I chose to attend. A friend of mine is performing one night so I know that night for sure, which brings me to today’s topic. Got a clue yet?

Today I have a solution to all the worlds’ ills. Yes, I have don’t you laugh! I have thought about this for a long time and am now confident it will work. Can you guess at what that might be? Ever thought about what would cross any country, gender, race, or even language barriers? I have, know what I figured out?

For Sunday Just a Word......

Sunday, July 25, 2010

Sunday I think should be a day of rest, a day you rejuvenate yourself for the week to come. In this fashion today I will make it short, yet hopefully leave you some small tidbit to ponder this afternoon.

Today I wish to provide you with a word, the word’s definition and a question regarding the word and how we use it.

Handicap: something that makes progress difficult; a disadvantage imposed on a superior competitor to equalize chances; a physical or mental handicap.”

Since I believe definitions are added in order by the time frame in which the word is used, here is my question.

If the first definition was applied, it could be applied to us all and if the second definition were the true meaning of the word, then why on earth did we even need the third definition?

You think about it.

Rest, relax, rejuvenate but think twice before you use a word.

I Have to Ask, Are Those Your Shoes?

Thursday, July 22, 2010

The past three days had been full of storms, making for a bleak existence. Today she was glad to see the sun finally back peeking in her window as if to say, “I’m back, today will be brighter you will see.” Today, OMG I’m late, get up.

She did not think of anything at the time except, don’t be late. She paid no mind to the outfit she selected or how her makeup lacked styling. “Just cover the remnants of sleep,” she thought. As her final act she grabbed a pair of shoes from the floor, slipped them on and out the door she went.

Coney Island Hotdog Contest: Hum?

Monday, July 5, 2010

I have one more day left to the holiday weekend, what will I do? Before I embark on some un-planned outing I have to ask you a question. Do you know who won the hotdog-eating contest? Have you ever seen one of these events?

I personally have not attended such an event but I have seen the results on television. Yesterday as I watched the proud winner raise his trophy belt and lift his bottle of pepto I thought how wrong this was on so many levels.

Exactly where did the idea of stuffing as many tube shaped, unhealthy, meat products down your throat in 5 minutes, come from and why? Did it start as a dare or was it a marketing ploy to attract children? Could this be another one of those guy things?

iPhone 4 and Shower Epiphanies

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

I’ll bet one of the first things you did right after you stood in line for that iPhone4 was to take a shower. Get all squeaky clean and ready to face the day, didn’t you? Have you ever thought about what this little ritual actually can tell you about yourself? Mine was full of epiphanies and it went something like this.

As I stepped in and instantly became engulfed with the warm soothing water, I felt joy. I had music playing in the background and soon started to feel the tension ever so slowly slipping away, that Zen feeling was returning. OH, OH, that is my favorite song!

The FDA and Better Living Through Chemicals

Saturday, June 26, 2010

Yes, yes, yes, I’m over my hormonal imbalance of yesterday. I have arrived back to the normal world and I have some questions. While away on my chemical imbalance it seems I have missed some new regulations regarding the F.D.A. When did these new regulations take affect?

Since when did medication have to smell good? I do not remember this being a concern in my past. I was spoon fed weird concoctions by my mother that yes, did cause nausea. After all the moment you swallowed your gag reflex kicked in, followed by the scolding, “Don’t you dare throw that up.”

Nuances for a Day

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

As I sat down to read the most current posts of the blogs I follow I found myself wandering in thought. Try as I might I kept going over the past 24 hours and all the nuances I had gathered. Do you have any nuances that nag at you?

Take for example the term “Rushing to get somewhere.” I learned yesterday this is a mere expression rather than an actual feat.  Regardless of how hard you try to rush the universe will say, “NO, what you really need is an out of town, lost driver who insists on being in your lane." Slow down, except it, you are late.
