Come on People, I Have Questions!

Friday, June 10, 2011

Have you got a minute? I told you I had some questions and I do. Being Friday I thought it a good time to ask, it will give you the weekend to solve these little nuisances of mine. Oh and there is music.

I’m calling all you totally awesome people out there to chime in. Let me know, do you ever think like this or have encountered these. Don’t be shy, no one reads this in Washington, D.C.

Tag, Is This a Survey?

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Tag, your it; a game I did not really play as a child but you blogger friends are making up for my childhood deficit. I was more of a Cowboys and Indians type girl but I do love to play along.

I was tagged by the lovely N. R. Williams at the blog of the same name. The rules are simple, answer the following questions and pass it on. In fear of being jinxed I will not break this chain.

Bernard Pivot Blogfest

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

This one sounded to good to pass up. Ms. Nicole Duclerior over at One Significant Moment at a Time is  hosting today's blogfest. A simple little fest where you just have to answer a few questions or so I thought.

When I first read how simple this was I envisioned, “Oh man, easy;" not. The television makes it look easy but try answering these in the moment. Any who… on to the fest.

I Had an Epiphany and it Hurt

Friday, February 11, 2011

Ever had an epiphany just reach up and slap you in the face? One of those moments where clarity becomes so bright sunglasses are required. Yesterday I received such a slap; it knocked the sunglasses off, an epiphany.

By definition an epiphany is:

(1) a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2) an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure.

Sunday Questionnaire

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Do not just read the snippet in the dashboard preview; come on over and look. I have been telling you and myself I needed to change things up here a bit and now I have. See anything different?

Yes, I have been too sick to write but not to sick to code, go figure. Have you noticed the new layout? Notice my new buttons? I’m really proud of these because I’m no coder.

This being Sunday I’d like to give you my sermon for the day, Flu Shots. If you have not gotten yours, now is the time. I cannot take flu shots due to an egg allergy, and thus have the flu.

One of the scariest books I have ever read was “The Coming Plaques,” and the worst plaque of all is the flu. Adapt and survive little bugger, get a FLU SHOT! Otherwise you will end up like me, wrapped like a mummy with a bright red nose, sounding like a foghorn and consuming bourbon by the gallon. (Medicine you know.)

Now my goal is to for later today to do some writing. In the mean time I wanted to put this post up so you guys would not freak out. I need and want feedback. What do you think? Is this better or worse? Is it easier to find things? Please test drive this thing and tell me, lemon or peach?

Until later my friends… Blessed Sunday to you.

NaBloWriMo and Blog Dilemmas

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

NaBloWriMo is compelling me to contribute something today and I don’t wanna. I think I’ll just take this opportunity to address a couple of things that have crossed this blogs path. Do you have blog dilemmas?

I never saw this coming. After all I barely have 100 followers, so to think my blog or I are some big target for marketing never crossed my mind. Do you think of marketing when you read my blog? I don’t.

Apparently someone does. In the past few weeks I have received several solicitations to do product reviews. I am not a crafting blog or even an artist’s blog, so I can only assume I have screwed up my SEO.

So You Asked, Why This Blog Title?

Saturday, September 25, 2010

A month or so ago one of my followers asked if I might divulge why I chose this blog title. Since then it has come more than once, so why not? Why not tell you, how and why I came up with this title?

Believe me if I knew then what I know now it would not have been an option. I think you know what I mean, long, starts with “T” and does not match my blog address. Oh well, broke all those rules. How and why then did I come up with that title?

Darkness is ........A Friend

Thursday, August 12, 2010

My eyes are open and yet I cannot see, darkness does surround me. The digits on the clock glow like red evil eyes and I look away. Vaguely making out the shears jumbled to the side of each window and the outline of furniture, the darkness starts to weigh heavy. “Why is darkness so heavy?” I question.

Darkness has no enemy; it knows no bounds. Light only masks what darkness already knows and it will gladly wait for the glory of return. Darkness does not sneak, it merely is. Why then should I not be afraid? Why does my heart welcome what many fear?

Dear Music Lover............I Have to Ask

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Dear Music Lover,

I have thought many times about this and have always put it back in the “blog about it later” category. Today I’m pulling it out and I want to know what and how you feel about it.

Several weeks ago I participated in a blogfest where I was to include songs that best describe my life, a soundtrack. I had the utmost fun participating and had no problem with the songs I chose, basically because I own every song I included. Now pulling from the “blog about it later” category I have to ask, “Is music really free?”

I Wonder What Choices They Will Make?

Saturday, July 31, 2010

Gazing out the window, once again the rain was dripping from the trees. Nowhere to be, nothing really planned to accomplish, she looked down and asked her furry companion, “What choices should we make for today?” What a strange concepts, she thought, choices?

Slowly sipping hot coffee her mind wandered and the realty of the word weighed heavy on her heart. Throughout the globe, she just knew, others are asking them selves exactly that same question. It made her ponder, “ I wonder what choices they will make today?”

Cyber Peepers: Who Are You?

Monday, April 26, 2010

We would like to interrupt this blog post for a special announcement. It has come to the attention of this blogs manager; Fragile Mouse, (Frag-a-lee Mouse)  that you the readers are basically unknown.

Fragile noticed all the recent hit indicators on the world map and asked who you were; I did not know. Not the answer she was looking for and I received a bark lashing, followed by her refusing to play anymore. In an effort to restore order in my house and to better understand the readers I have compiled a small 10 question survey. Participation in the survey is optional but requested and you may respond to one or all of the following questions.  If you are ready here goes:
  1. Where are you located? (Names are optional)
  2. Do you prefer blind dates or speed dating? I guess you could prefer speedy blind dates but let’s keep it simple.
  3. Does the toilet paper go over or under?
  4. Can I wear shoes in your house or do I need new socks?
  5. If I Google your house, will it find it? Google does not know where the Emerald city is and it tells me I have to swim to London.
  6. Are you computer savvy or do you just have a savvy computer?
  7. Are you a cyberpeeper or a follower? Cyberpeepers are those who just hit your blog to raise the bounce rate, followers counteract the peepers.
  8. Do you walk your pet or does your pet walk you? (Children are included)
  9. How did you get to this page? Do you feel you belong or were you misguided by some search engine.
  10. How do you get to the Emerald city?
If you are unsure as to how to respond let me explain. Look down to the end of this post; see those blue icon thingies, click the one on the left that says “Comment” beside it. A window will pop up where you can enter your responses. Select whether or not you want me to know who you are and hit “Publish Comment.” That’s it, you are done.

Fragile Mouse wanted me to thank you in advance and is now off searching for her ball. I look forward to letting her know who exactly is leaving all those red dots on the map.

Oprah: Miracle Angel Request

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Hey Oprah, can you send me one of those miracle angels? Today I feel like that preverbal bear is going to eat me. I have tried to shut the curtains and hide my eyes; I’ve even blared loud music in an attempt to scare away the beast but I sense he is still hiding in the shadows of today's events. Why should I be granted a miracle angel?

Well, let me say this, I do not want one because I recently received medical treatments that now make me look like a new bobble head on an old bobble body. My skin is how it should be and not tighten to the point I look like the little girl with her pig tails caught in the bus door. Sorry I understand the workings of my insides and do not require charts, graphs and exhibits to entertain your audience. The fact is I actually passed biology class.

President Obama; Can you spare a moment?

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Dear President Obama;

I’ll try not to take up to much of your time but I hear you are a politician who cares about the people. Someone who wants all Americans to have equal opportunities and equal benefits. Though I am only one American and I have had to over come many adversities in past year including becoming one of the many unemployed I do need a moment of your time.

I try not to be one who complains to much about how the government does its job but in the past several months I have become totally confused and disenchanted. I’m in need of some Presidential size answers, so if you would be so kind as to follow along I will explain.

Reasons To Watch The Winter Olympics

Friday, February 12, 2010

Ah, the winter Olympics start tonight. At least with the winter Olympics you do not have those obscure events like synchronized swimming or that ribbon gymnastics thing. In fact the only winter event I do not get into is curling. What exactly do you get from participating in curling?

Dictionary or Spell Check; You Decide

Thursday, February 11, 2010

What ever happen to the dictionary? No, not spell check, but the actual printed version of all words in our language. The book we use to receive right before we were given a full blown bookcase of encyclopedias. Did it go out of print?

I am not talking about grammar, I'm talking about normal spelling of words. I can remember growing up, I was the world's worst at spelling. I even lost my prized bicycle for 2 weeks because I got caught cheating on a spelling test. To this day I have trouble spelling the month February. But I was always instructed, "look it up in the dictionary." It became a habit.
