Awards; Again?
Thursday, September 9, 2010
Yesterday was my BON day and I gave you a few more tid-bits about myself, whew that hurt. Now today I have a few new followers and I wish to welcome them to the journey. Your company will help ward off any evil we may encounter, safety in numbers you know.
Today I have decided to go ahead and let go of two more awards. I do not want to hold on to these because my memory of what, who, when and where is starting to play games with me. Up front though, I need to add a disclaimer here about my comments.
I travel to and comment on, according to Alex, the appropriate number of blogs to receive return comments. But I do this with no ulterior motives. I comment because I connected with what you wrote or I enjoy your blog. I have begun to realize I leave comments sometimes when my brain is just overflowing. Life, love, reality, to-do lists; you know not safe for human occupancy. So if I comment and it seems totally out in left field or not remotely related to your post. Please remember this disclaimer: Caution, stuck in gear and no one home to pop the clutch. Thank you.
Now those awards.
First, Rayna @ Coffee Rings Everywhere was oh so kind to pass along to me this award. Her written words about my love for my Grandmother touched my heart. Thank you Rayna; I’m so glad my love showed through the words.
I pass this on to:
Gail @ At The Farm because I love country girls, we stick together.
Yvonne @ Welcome to my world of Poetry because I love her poetry.
Tabitha Bird @ Through My Eyes because she needs a smile.
Kobico @ Mindless Meanderings of a Middle-Aged Maniac because she is special to me been with me a while now.
Second, Ellie @ Ella's Edge passed this one on to me. Ellie is wonderful person whose photo’s and crafts amaze me, her causes are not too shabby either. You need to check her out. Ellie’s award however, came with strings. I have to list ten things that I like (not love) and pass it on to ten people. Since I’m an “all or nothing” sort of girl this may be challenging.
I like… finding change in a seat cushion and thinking of it as a personal lottery.
I like… Kentucky Hotbrowns. It’s a dish from heaven and yes it has a gravy.
I like… long hot baths by candle light.
I like… when bags actually open at the pull, tear or rip mark and you do not crush the contents.
I like… finding something I looked for 3 months ago when then I was swearing the ghost took it.
I like… silk. Especially on my bed in the hot, humid summers.
I like… brussel sprouts.
I like… Thoroughbred Horse Racing, Kentucky style. No offense but I don’t enjoy horses running on the grass and my dream is to ride one out of the starting gate just once.
I like… bigfoot, one day I’d love (oops) like to meet him.
I like… simple things.
There you have my ten “Liked” things. Who is next?
RosieC @ East for Green Eyes
Eric @ Digging With the Worms
JW @ In the flow: A Writer's Journey
February Grace @ Pitch Slapped
Jo @ The End of the Rainbow
Wander the Wayside
Donna @ Musings of a Penniless Writer
MT @ Michelle Teacress
Nezzy @ Cow Patty Surprise
DL @ Cruising Altitude
That was a copy and paste jar full! I hope everyone here realizes you all get an award from my heart and if you are in need of one..well, I give you permission to take one.
Tomorrow this channel will return to its regular broadcasting and for your sanity we have turned off the elevator music.
Peace….

Wow! Thanks for the coffee (much needed this morn') and thanks for listing my link up there. I am honored. The support in the blog community is wonderful and I am glad to be a part. :) I will check out the others, as well. I hope you have a great day! Janelle
Lots of great blogs recognized there.
Thanks for ditching the elevator music. :>)
Thanks for the award Jules, it's so very kind of you.
Also thanks for the visit and comment, I was really taken aback when this person asked me what was the purpose of lighting a candle. I deleted the comment as it hurt very much.
I am pleased others don't feel that way.
Take care.
Yvonne.
Congratulations on your awards :) And I agree with you on no strings attached on commenting - I find I do that sometimes with following blogs, and then if I feel I "owe" someone a comment, but in 99% of the time I comment on blogs because I happen to have time for it, or because I thought the post was extra thought provoking, or if I have something clever to say. If I do visit back with people who leave comments on my own blog, it's more often than not because their comment was a way for me to remember that I've not visited them in a while - and not because I feel I "have to".
I *loved* your like-list, by the way :)
Two wonderful Awards for one wonderful Lady. Congratulations.
Congrats on your awards...your such a sweet person. I like candle lit baths too. Have a great day!!!!
First and foremost here's sendin' you a big old CONGRATULATIONS on your well deserved awards.
I thank you so very much and am honored to be included in the list 'sweet friend' but I am an award free, tag free blog...although I do enjoy seein' my name up in lights.
May God bless your day and remember to stop the business long enough to go have some fun!!! :o)
I almost didn't check the computer this morning cuz I'm in such a hurry, but am so glad I did! Congratulations on your two awards, and thanks for passing one on to me - I've never made a secret of loving to get them! I'm with you on the comments - it depends on how big a hurry I'm in or how many other things I have on my mind. I hate leaving a half-ass comment, so sometimes won't leave one if my brain isn't engaged, or try leave a quick and to the point one to show I was there. Anyway, congrats again, and thanks again!

Thanks, Jules!
You want to ride a thoroughbred out of the gates just once, eh. You sure you can hold on? I'm thinking one of my likes might be watching people volunteer to try and stay on one of those psychotic beasts!
Now that'd be fun to see...
- Eric
That's very sweet of you to welcome your new followers this way. :) Thanks very much!
Jules, congratulations on your awards, you are sooo deserving! I share your commenting dilemma. Another one I have is that sometimes, late at night, I read something on someone's blog that I really like and later, when I want to go back, I don't remember whose it was or how I got there.
I like you likes list. Especially the one Eric mentioned. I KNOW you can do it. You go girl.
Hey! Am I missing out on the silk sheets? I thought silk was hot. Or was that a silk nighty?
Kentucky Brownbreads? Sounds like a rung below Kentucky Bluebloods. :)
Congratulations to all the award winners, thanks for giving us all those lovely links to check out.
Have a great day, I'm off to read a few more blogs then in to my writing cave.

Congratulations to you and all the award winners! I love the ten things that you have listed you like. Kentucky hotbrowns though... *ponders* what can they be? I imagine a hot melting brown chocolate coated in kentucky sauce. I don't think somehow I have imagined the right thing!
I really like your list and Thank you for the kind words(I'm blushing)
OOOh, Kentucky Hotbrowns sound sinfully good! IS there bourbon in them?! lol I don't drink it...just sounds good!
I wanted to answer a question you asked me a while back. It is in regard to photos: I only use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. You can brighten pics with auto correct and I crop them. No photo shop for me, yet...I am afraid, I'd never get off the computer! xXx
I follow many of these blogs and they are truly award worthy! Congrats to all!
Ooo, very cool, thank you for the award, Jules! I promise I'll post it up and get to that list soon as I can (I've been sick, on my way to recovery so I have to get my brain in gear to come up with the people to pass it on to!)
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
And while I'm here might I comment that I love your paint spatter background here? Makes me want to get out my paints...
hugs
bru
You just comment whatever you like, Jules!
I like it when bags open properly, too.
First you are all welcome for the awards.
Nezzy, I still want to give it to you :)
Eric OH YES, I can hold on. I use to own a thoroughbred. I just don't do the jumping thing. LOL
Olivia, silk hot? Never heard the like, maybe its a GA thing lol
Ellie, thanks I'll look at that.
Bru, I know that is why I wanted to cheer you up.
To All
A Kentucky Hotbrown is a sinful sandwich that starts with toast followed with turkey & ham slices covered with a heavy cream/romano cheese sauce topped with sliced tomatoes and bacon, then trimmed with more cheese.
No Bourbon or chocolate involved, sorry.
Hope you get a chance to try one sometime. :D
Thanks, doll, for this 'sweet' addition to my day. :)
Hope our rainbows meet one day!
Peace and serenity,
~Jo

Your posts and your comments are always a joy to read.
Congratulations on your award and thanks for sharing with me!
Yum, that sounds like a sandwich best consumed when prepared by a Kentucky Hotbrown expert. Sinful indeed! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I used to tell my brother he could keep all the change he found in my car if he'd clean it for me. After he found over twenty dollars worth of change, I decided to clean it myself!
I love, LOVE long hot baths with candle light. I usually get quite a few candles so I can read, too. Mmmmmm. Another thing I used to do, but haven't in years, was get a very large cup/glass, fill it with ice, and pour Asti Spumante and sip it while bathing/relaxing/reading...
COngrats. YOu deserve both awards!

Thank you, Jules, I'm touched. And you are special, too.
Now you have me thinking that silk sheets after a candle-lit bath would be great! ... er, I mean extra likeable! When I'm working again, I may just spring for new sheets.
Love your blog!!I can't wait to read more!
Jules, that is so awesome. Thank you so much.
I've never taken a candlelight bath before. Afraid I might get electrocuted. And I'm still trying to increase traffic to my blog. Wish I had more time to visit more blogs. Have a great weekend.

A bubble bath by candle light (with a good book) is SO my HAPPY PLACE!! :)
But, I hates brussel sprouts. Hates 'em. Blech.
CONGRATS on your awards! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's a treat to follow it back here to yours.
Have a delightful weekend,
Lola
Congrats on your awards...and too all those you passed along to as well!!
Thank you for including me in that group. I am both touched and honored! I loves me some awards!! :)
BTW...I want me one of those Kentucky Hotbrown RIGHT NOW!!!
