A Thanksgiving Blogfest
Wednesday, November 24, 2010
At the last minute I have decided to participate in Jeffrey Beesler's Early Bird Thanksgiving Blogfest. Hop on over to Jeffrey Beesler's World of the Scribe to read the rest of the thankful stories/lists. So let the appreciation begin.
I am thankful for...
Alien dust bunnies who scare un-wanted visitors from my home. Prudes..
My big truck. Little cars now fear me and I no longer have to peddle to catch up.
the fact I no longer have to dress for success. It seems style is now more of a shock factor.
Word verification. It is making for an interesting dictionary, wait til I explain this hillbilly style.
Dog collar strobe lights. Every night I have my very own light show in the backyard.
My ability to go from an average, middle-aged woman to she devil with no good reason, will come in handy this season.
My fear of flying. Otherwise I would develop a paranoia concerning my junk I might never get over.
Now what I truly am thankful for:
My God, My family and my furry friends.
My conscience decision that tomorrow will be better.
That regardless of my situation, I still have good things in my life.
That I am not hungry.
I live in a country where my opinion can be just that, regardless of my sex.
And you.
My most up-lifting, inspiring, heart warming, best thing to happen to me, followers.
Have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving and may the turkey fill your tummy and by-pass your thighs.
My Thanksgiving will be Saturday in conjunction with my grandmothers 92nd birthday. Tomorrow I will be preforming community service, trying to fulfill my legal obligations regarding my "Careless Driving."
Peace...

You are so funny!!
We are a blessed country and people!
Happy Thanksgiving.
Word verification really is a mystifying thing. There has actually been one instance in which I got a true word out of the verification thing. Aside from that, other words have given me names to use in my fantasy and sci fi stories.
Heeehehehe!!! Loved the doggie turkey!!! I need a good laugh this morn'. I truly need to be in the kitchen. We've go 35-37 of our clan comin' to the Ponderosa tomorrow.
You have a blessed day tomorrow with your family filled with love, laughter and food baby, loads of food!!!
now I am thankful for dogs dressed as turkeys.
Great list Love word verification!
Wonderful list, Jules! Glad to see someone else approached this in the same manner. And not just dust bunnies - ALIEN dust bunnies!

love the photo...it made me smile!
Jules, I had some time so I had to come back and read some of your past posts...I am enthralled...one of your comments that really struck me was: It wasn’t until I stepped back that I realized what a force you guys have become in my life. Do you know what I mean? (from Mon. Nov. 22)
Why this resonated with me is because I am a writer, not a talker and I have found new strength with my writing in the blog community. It is relatively new for me and my posts have become more honest. When I read that specific comment, it occured to me; YES, this blogging community is a strong force. I hope you don't need to be MIA, but if you do, your community will be here for you!
Happy Thanksgiving Jules and thanks for dropping by my blog! :)
Happy Thanksgiving Jules. Thanks, also, for coming by and reading my entry.
Great list, but only one I'm not thankful for - Word Verification! I hate hate hate it! Sorry! I don't use it, never have, and have never really had spam. Sometimes I forget to scroll down again and put it in on comments so often my comments probably don't show up.:)
I'm touched that you appreciate us so much. This blog community is wonderful.

In addition to a lot of the things you mentioned, I am thankful that you made me laugh, nod in agreement, and tear up a little bit today. Happy thanksgiving!
You've got a couple great lists here, Jules. I like the word verification words, but not the process. And now I'm off to find a strobe light dog collar. Thanks for bringing those to my attention!
Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
Thanking you for being a good friend, there is an award at my latest blog entitled Happy Thanks giving Day.
That poor little doggie LOL! I wonder what he;s thinking. Maybe, "I'd better get a turkey thigh for this!"
Passing by to show some love, big warm hug!
