Moments to Memories, Meltdown & MIA
Friday, April 15, 2011
Ever thought about the transformation of a moment? Those fractions of time we spend our lives collecting never really knowing their true worth; a personal library of moments if you will. When and how do we decide what is of value?
I don’t believe we do. I believe at any given moment, that stored away piece of time, can transform. Just like a butterfly or a moth it can break out of its cocoon into something totally new. This is our ability to turn a moment into a memory.
In an instant a trigger is pulled, our brain goes into recall mode and out of stored moments a memory is born. We never know as time passes what someday will be a memory, just as in that instant we have no idea of its value. The value is moment to memory.
A true human wonder is our ability to recall; to transform unknown pieces of time into memories. Memorable moments, no human can take from us, forever ours.
My other two “M” words are meltdown and MIA. Due to suffering from the first I have been the later. I must unplug and recover before I return, I hope you understand.
I apologize to all my followers but my posts have been less than standard. Hopefully my mojo will return by Monday.
Now go turn some moments to memories and have a great weekend.
Peace…

I think you're always stellar, friend!
have a great weekend :-)
I don't support your claim that your posts haven't been up to standard, but understand the need to take a break every now and then. Relax, and take care. We'll be here when you return :)
We, your followers will always be here. Take the time you need to get you mojo going and have a wonderful, recharging, relaxing weekend.
take care of yourself...enjoy the week end. make some good memories...martha
We all need time to recharge from time to time. We'll be here when you get back. Take care of yourself. Sending you lots of positive thoughts.....
Moments to memories- I like that
AS far as MIA- do whatever you need to do- I'm sending fairy smiles your way :)
Moments into memories is a great way of putting our life. I think it is important to realize that each moment can be a memory so we might as well make them good ones :)
Your message came over Jules,
Take care of yourself.
Yvonne.
Jules,
Your first responsibility is to yourself...that's a given and NOT negotiable. You need to do for yourself before you can give to others. We understand and expect you to take care of yourself.
This is the exact reason I didn't do an 'M' post today becuase other things had to come first...I'm thinking of you and sending you cyber hugs...
Thanks so much for your instructions you so graciously took the time out of your day to do...I will try them out this weekend and see if I can get it to work.
It's amazing the way we can recall memories--relive something that happened moments or years before.
We'll be here when you come back. :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I love this! When I am feeling overwhelmed or confused about what "it" all means, I remind myself that this precise moment in time is a culmination of all the other moments in time that ever went before it. Every single moment in the past, even those before I was born, has brought me and the whole world to this precise moment in time. It tends to put things into perspective very quickly.
Have an awesome weekend too! - G
Good luck on finding your Mojo and I hope you can take some oments to make magical memories as well.
I think your posts are wonderful. Take care of yourself and I hope you are feeling better soon. Enjoy the weekend!
I enjoy all your posts Jules. Don't be so hard on yourself. Take the time you need to rest. Look forward to your next post. Have a wonderful peaceful and rejuvenating weekend.

Jules get better; I'm struggling with a condition, that has me in zombie mode. I hope time out, build you back up. Go reflect on some wonderful memories, treasure troves from your youth~ xXx
We won't go anywhere:) Painful as they are, sometimes meltdowns allow us to flow into a unique new shape. Take care. x
I've been MIA too and can relate. Wishing you many mightily memorable Mojo-mending moments!
I had to let go too, as you know. Life, and blogging, can get pretty intense sometimes. Just relax, take it easy. Sit back and think about good memories. Memories are the stuff of memoirs, my favorite genre.
Here are good thoughts/a prayer coming your way for recovery.

Jules, don't be so hard on yourself. I think the pressure of nearly blogging nearly everyday and finding a letter to fit in would stifle my creativity. I never want blogging to feel like a chore.
I like your posts and hope you're not MIA for too long.
Get your mojo back, and a mango mojito, if you can. Take time to take care of yourself and life, blogging can wait. We the followers are going nowhere :-)
(((( hugs )))))
Doris
I truly believe that meltdowns are necessary for survival. Last weekend, I did nothing....sometimes it is the only way to hang on. You are such a wonderful writer, you are never substandard(only to yourself)
love and hugs...
Take the time and feel better.
Perhaps it's something in the water. My creativity has been on vacation for a few weeks too.
Jules,
Again, I'm sorry I've been neglectful of my blog friends. Life has just spun out of control the last month or so.
Take all the time you need. You know we'll all be here when you come back.
Take it easy, relax! We'll be here when you get back!
Alchemy isn't dead, it never was. Only we failed to bring it out of our minds and actually turn base metals into gold just like our mind turns incidents into memories and recall them, like butterflies emerging from cocoons.
Your posts are just the way they were, I wonder why you'd consider them below standard.
Cheers,

What fascinates me about some remembered moments is that they are so inconsequential, and yet I can absolutely see them, and they stay with me. I hope that your weekend has been filled with relaxing moments!
Passing by to show some love. Keep you in my thoughts.
Jules, You are amazing! Do give yourself a break; you deserve it!!!!
I get it! Unplug, refresh, and head back when you feel up to it.
Your posts are always wonderful.
I hope you recover soon. I know I needed the weekend off. I've been burning the candle at both ends trying to do this blogfest and get my stories done too. Add critique duties and you have a problem.
Nancy
Take care of yourself, Jules. I hope you're feeling better soon. Enjoy the positive moments when the come, and let the negative ones slip out of your memory not to return.
*hugs*
You have to take care of yourself. Enjoy, and we'll see you when you return.
Hi Jules!! I hope you had a good REST and recovery over the weekend... take more time if you need it. We all understanding and want you to take care of yourself first!!!
This post sure hit home for me today. Been crazy busy cleaning out my house.. and for memories than I can handle some days. My boys grew up way too fast (I feel) and for the majority of my life All I knew I was good at was 'only' being a Mom. 'Sigh'... going through containers after container in my closets and basement had a wide range of emotions as well as reactions. Parting with 20 year old 'premie' clothes and 'special' stuffed animals that have meant more to me Way too long! another 'sigh'... Anyway I understand and this post was as wonderful as always. So don't be so hard on yourself, Jules. You are Amazing!!! ;-)
Take Care & Big Hug to you friend,
Coreen XOXOXO
Take care, friend. Thinking of you. :)
Jules - I also stepped off the grid and out of the country for a little while. Feels good! After all, we do need time to make the moments to memories happen. Hope you're enjoying, relaxing, maybe even Meditating?! Mmmm.... ;)
