A Misty River of Thoughts
Monday, August 15, 2011
Monday, it is Monday isn’t it? Which means the cable people will be here soon, I must get this out before they decided to disconnect to re-connect me because the storms did a number on my cable wire.
I have thought about this and truly wanted this to be an uplifting post, being it is Monday, but my mind is a fog bank. Like a river bank full of misty, illusions of floating incomplete thoughts. Anyone care to help me paddle?
I know what is wrong with Google… Al Gore invented the internet, right? Seems Google has not paid him any royalties, he is hitting the on/off button to remind them.
I grew a cucumber this summer, anyone for tennis? That is the shape of it. How about a story regarding mutant vegetables?
Has anyone watched any of the Little League World Series? I know more television but I noticed something, what happen to our kids? None of the teams I saw had children size kids on them, most were bigger than me as an adult, where are all the puny skinny kids?
Speaking of MORE television, I was amazed to find, through some home shopping network, that I can order body parts. Apparently, some channel is offering “Perfect Boobs.” Now should you feel you have “Perfect Boobs” never fear, two channels down you can order “Perky Boobs.” See what you have been missing?
Full house generators, while soothing in the winter because you know someone is surviving, are not so in the summer. Try sleeping to one and you will feel like you are sleeping on a boat with a bad outboard motor.
And speaking of winter… It is too early for the seasonal shift of things. Here in the U.S. leaves are turning, bugs are looking for their winter residence (inside your house) and my dogs are sheading like crazy. Bad winter ahead, that’s all I’m saying and you heard it here first.
Lastly, do practice walking around your house in the dark occasionally. Seems I was out of practice and walked right into a large piece of furniture. After the huge “Thud” stopped echoing through the house I retrieved my flashlight to find Ms. Twister sitting in the dark giggling.
Like I said the cable people are coming I may or may not have internet while they are here, I’ll be there as soon as I can be. For those that love blog fests I have one.
Kathie over at Like a Box of Chocolates is having a “No Rules” blog fest. No posting, no linking, just join and meet people. Come on this one is easy.
Have a great Monday everyone!
Peace…

Good advice - to practice walking around in the dark. We got to practice that one too after the storms Saturday night. I must say, I am thankful for electricity. Very, very thankful. Hope you've caught up on your sleep!
I am one of the few people in the US to have a great cable company- Blue Ridge. Hope yours is great too! (hear the story about the woman who got so p'ed at Comcast and their lack of customer service, she went to their office and took a hammer to the phone and computer keyboard?)
I was very happy with my cable company, but they do not offer channels with the perfect body parts. I must give them a call.
I've missed the boob shows! What's wrong with me?
Hope your Internet isn't down for long.
I'm so happy that you made it over to my blog before your cable got shut off! :) THANKS! PS. Speaking of winter, I heard Canadian Geese overhead last night! Yikes! Can it really be that time of year already? I just got my first zucchini! :o
Haha...I don't watch TV anymore, except in the winter. And I too have noticed that early autumn feeling down here in NC. Last winter we had a "storm" (read: a little bit of snow) and everything closed for four days. Imagine what this winter is going to do... I'd better stock up on stuff. ;)
I live in mist. Just saying.
I've never subscribed to cable or satelite. I would just watch more TV which I don't need to do.
I have no problems with blaming Al Gore for Google.
I'm so not agreeing with you about another bad winter. Speak to the hand. :)
I hope the cable company people don't wreak too much havoc!
I hope winter this year isn't so bad; though the weather forecast is a bit cool for this time of the year.
I have perky boobs. They work in the cubicle next to me.
Ba-dum-bum.
And skinny little kids? I'm not sure they make those anymore, do they?
Pearl
I just switched TV providers and was surprised to see the Perkier Boobs Channel. I mean, I don't think this is a show. It's an entire channel, right? A Perky Boob channel. Oh, and my neighbor's red maple turned red weeks ago and now has almost no leaves. I think it's a scary sign, too. Or maybe our lack of rain just killed it.
Thank you for the shout out! I hope lots will join in :-)
Jules, you never fail to cheer me up!
I'm having a blue Monday. I will get over it~ I loved your antics; yes I agree a bad winter. I saw a squirrel steal one of yellow pear tomatoes this morning. He must of been in quite a state to think that was a nut. Hope the cable guy came before 4:30pm!
FIRST, I love that Picture of the 'stuck dog'!! So fits a Monday, or today since it is dark, gloomy and storming Again!
I do believe that Al Gore would have something to do with our internet going up & down.. haha!!
Yes, those are Not kids playing anymore! These are 'creations' and many times from the parents who shove 'supplemental vitamins' (yeah right?!) and protein down them and give them 'private pitching lessons starting at 18months of age. I swear, I've actually met these parents!
Now to the boobs, don't anyone waist their money on those products... just go to Victoria Secret and buy the Bust Boost pump strays, they really work (at least temporally) and yes I've used them in my bikini days. Had to balance the 'top' half with the bottom. LOL That should be in a commercial for VS.... See I told everyone I was hilarious, sad thing is I tell talk from experiences! ;-)
Book shows? Al Gore? Hunh? You've lost me. :)
I do love that dog photo, though.
Now THAT is a random post! Not sure I believe that Al Gore thing. Are you sure he didn't take the credit for someone else's invention?
I'm late. (Not surprised are you?) Between the dog and the "perky boobs" you made my day.
Hope your Monday ended up fabulous. And hope your cable is all fixed. ☺
My nephew (who shaved his head into a mohawk for the game!) played in the Little League World Series...his team won against Puerto Rico. And yes, they are big boys. They all tower over me when I see them visiting at Yiayia's. ☺
Hi, Jules. This was fun, wandering with you in the dark! One night here in Virginia the power went off. Jen was in her *electric* hospital bed, with head and foot raised. But I couldn't see her, couldn't see anything. Where was the flashlight I should have where I can find it in an emergency? Finally realized the cell phone would give some light. Found it then the flashlight, then candles, then the manual crank to lower Jen's bed. Hoped the power wouldn't be off long. Fortunately it wasn't. Now my flashlight is right where I can find it!
You asked me about my blog. Do I have two? I'm keeping Blogger so my Blogger followers will know when I post. But you have to continue reading the post on my WordPress. If you're following me through Blogger, you don't have to sign in again as a follower on WordPress. Maybe I should put all this in the header section of my Blogger blog, now that I find out it has confused you!
Hope you got your cable fixed. Hope you're having a better day today. (We don't have TV anymore, just NetFlix, so I have no idea what's going on in that world--and I don't care!)

you're right about the dog hair, OMG, I wish I knew how to weave blankets, our dogs are going bonkers with this shedding , I have never seen it so bad.....I know I should have commented on the more pertinent info, but the dog hair is getting to me.
Woof!
I really need to visit your blog more often. I get soooo behind.
Body parts? I'm looking for a brain if you see one on the cheap.
