Just So You Know

Friday, September 2, 2011

The beginning of the end or so it is for summer. Here it is going out with a bang, 96 today and 76 Sunday but I digress. I thought it only fitting to end the summer with another installment of "Just So You Know... Don't you think?

I know we are all going to be doing the last of summer, rush to complete dance, so I will keep this short. Just a few, random thoughts. Are you ready?

Just So You Know... I learned from the news the most likely group to go hungry is the 50+ group. Seems I’m on track to lose a pound for every year past that age.

Just So You Know... my mother is having a debate with herself as to whether God has blue or green eyes. Hum... never thought about it mom, maybe they are rainbow.

Just So You Know...We have had 3 earthquakes this week all in different parts of the country. Seems Mother Earth thinks of us as a parasite and I can't say that I blame her.

Just So You Know... I have another small architectural project and I have to take work when I can get it.

Just So You Know... I'm going to a barbecue, Karen's at Coming Down The Mountain. I have no idea what I am bringing.

Just So You Know... I have a new set of hero's, 500 to be exact. 500 elderly people who refused to be evacuate during Irene, No, I do not condone them for not evacuating but I do admire them for standing their ground. The last I saw of them they were huddled in an apartment drinking ripple.

Just So You Know... if you have a relative wearing one of those copper arthritic bracelets, take it from them. They are going to be the next target for copper thieves.

Just So You Know... speaking of thieves, our newspapers have been disappearing. Seems extreme coupon collectors need more coupons.

Just So You Know... I know I need to get out more but the tea-party members do not wear name tags, they scare me; almost as much as clowns.

Just So You Know... Labor Day... "Loads of Americans Broke Over Recession."

Just So You Know... My grandmother wants to know why all television has to offer is, "Fat men jiggling their bellies?" Valid point granny. She also wants to know why the book she is reading has "Kiss" in the title but has no kisses in the book.

So now you know. I have a laborious weekend planned doing labor type things but I will be around. I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend full of memories to last you all winter long.

Rainbow Peace…

Just So You Know...I loved this post. It made me smile. ☺

Just So You Know...When you talked about God's eye color, I immediately imagined them to be Hazel Green with flecks of gold.

Just So You Know...Hope you have a Fabulous Friday and Wonderful Weekend!

"Loads of Americans Broke Over Recession." - Isn't that the truth! And why do laborers like retail people have to work on Labor Day? Seems wrong to me.

I like the last one. Kiss in the title but no kissing. Talk about a misnomer.

Anonymoussaid,

I'm scared of clowns too! Mimes and contortionists round out the "I Hate Club." I'd hate to be trapped on a stuck elevator with the three.

Checking in as the clown-hater. :) Have you ever seen "Killer Klowns from Outer Space"? I saw it in my 20's and I wasn't fond of clowns then and not I'm REALLY not fond of them. If you feel like torturing yourself sometime you should try to see it.

I'm well past 50 now and neither am I going hungry or losing any pounds. I could probably stand to miss a meal or two-- or three, or...

We had an earthquake here in L.A. yesterday and if they hadn't told me on the news I would have never known.

Just so you know... (for your mom), all blue-eyed people on earth descend from one person whose eye genetics mutated. Before that, all brown :) At least according to one of the gozillion documentaries I've watched, think that one was on the human genome project.

Anyway, visiting from the BBQ, enjoyed the fun facts to know and share!

Just so you know... Tea Party people are not scary, nor are they anything resembling clowns! When I hear things like this said about them, it shocks me, because I have gone to a few Tea Parties, and the people there were the nicest, most well mannered people. They are standing up for what they believe without any insult or demeaning to their opponents. Now, I'm sure that isn't true about every single one of them; but as a whole - they are a good group of people! :)

PS. Just so you know, I love your "just so you know" posts!

I can think of worse ways to go than huddling with friends and drinking ripple--like tea parties. Those would scare me, too. Happy Labor Day!!

Nice to meet you here at Karen's party. I believe I'll pass on that peachy moonshine, but wouldn't mind a sip or two of that famous bourbon.

I must now say... the Tea Parties I have been to are in North Idaho. The people here are good kind people with good morals and common sense! I'm sad to hear that Tea Parties are not all like they are here.

I laughed out loud when I read the copper theives comment! I think God has blue eyes. I'm not sure why I think this, exactly, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the whole sky/heaven thing.

Just so you know I think God has blue eyes like the sky or gray if it is a rainy day! Just so you know, when I was younger I partied during Hurricanes. It only happened once...
Just so you know, my Mom's neighbor is a newspaper thief. She would borrow my Mom's paper and cut out whatever she wanted. Hello, my Mom bought the damn thing...My Mom stopped getting it! Just so you know, my brother was born on Labor Day and me on Mother's Day...good days to give birth! Happy you found work, but hope you aren't laboring on Labor Day! xXx

Jules- just so you know, clowns terrify me, too. What interesting conversations you must have with your mother and grandmother.

Good luck with the new project--you're going to have to tell us more about that one!

Hope you're enjoying the long, laborious weekend. ;)
