Truth, Lies and Awards
Monday, March 7, 2011
Let us begin this week on a high note and aspire to hit another octave by week end, shall we? The high point, a few awards that I graciously received last week and now must pass on.
As much as I love awards you would think someone would have written an app for these. Wouldn’t it be nice if you just selected the recipient’s and the app did the rest? Someone get on that please.
This award requires that I tell four truths and one lie, so here goes.
- While in Junior high I was lucky enough to be on stage for a 45 minute sound check of the song Tuesday’s Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd; proceeded by an afternoon in their Hotel room.
- I once climbed out of moving truck doing 65 mph to reach the back (and not through a rear window but the door window).
- I once went skinny dipping in a city pool, after hours and after 2 large bottles of tequila. Fell from the top of the 12 foot fence, tore the side of my foot off, ran to our tent and sat there screaming at the nice policeman, “no we were not in the pool.” The following day I had to play 8 games of softball, 5 of which were back to back.
- I once caught a leprechaun but he was not marrying material.
- I once had a thoroughbred horse given to me. It bit my Dad, he got mad, end of horse.
I pass this award on to:
Kathy @ Kathy Gates Stories and Opinions
Summer Ross @ My Inner Fairy
Tammy @ message in a bloggle the art of being broken
Cathy @ Country Cathy
This next award was graciously given to me by Yvonne at Welcome to my World of Poetry. Yvonne has been with me for awhile and we share kindred spirits, staying young at heart. May she always have a slide near by and thank you Yvonne.
I must pass this on to seven other inspiring people and the award goes to:
Coreen @ Velvet over Steel
Mary @ Giggles and Guns
Holly @ Holly Ruggiero's POV
Samantha @ Life, Love and Living in France
Corine @ Joy In the Journey
Tracy @ My Thoughtful Spot
Nancy @ NR Williams Fantasy Author
Those are my awards, go visit the recipients all wonderful people and worthy of a pop in and chat session.
To all a great week.
Peace…

If #4 is correct, then I want to hear about your encounter with the Loch Ness Monster, too.
Congrats! For the truth, I choose #2, climbing out the truck window. Don't ask me why, I've no clue.
I lived in Ireland and never saw a leprechuan, so I guess unless they;re running around the US no 4 is the lie.
Loved the post , busy looking for new slides to conquer.
Yvonne,
Seriously Jules?? Knowing you, there is NO way they aren't ALL true.
:-)
Thanks for the award. I'll try and get it posted one day this week.
Have a good one!
#1 is the lie. Rainbows and leprechaun's well, yeah, I have seen a few running around.
Congrats to all the award winners~

I still want to hear more about Jiggy Grandma

A Leprechaun? Now I know your earlier pursuits left a little damage. Fortunately it appears to have passed. Congrats on your awards and thank you for mine.

leprechauns are like toads-- you're supposed to throw them back where you found them.

There’s only one lie? Well, I’ll go for Number 3, I think.
Congratulations on the awards!
I have no idea which one is the lie . . .
Leprechauns usually aren't marriage material, I hear--too flighty. So that one has to be true. As for the rest, glad to hear you've lived a rich and interesting life! And thank you so much for the award! I'm so glad I blogged about boogers.... =}
Congrats on your awards. I will definitely check out the links you recommended. If #2 is true, I would LOVE to heard the full story :)
Congrats on your awards. I hate it when you catch a leprechaun and they're not the right one. It's so hard to catch them, and then... well, you obviously know.
:)
Love this post, congrats on your awards. I'd love to see a leprechaun and so would my son LOL.

Congratulations on the awards! The lie...hmmmm, no. 2? Did you really climb that truck? LOL.
Congrats on the awards. And seeing as you live in KY I can believe just about everything. ( and i mean that in a really good way!) But the leprachaun sounds fishy--perhaps a play on words? My guess is you never hung out in Lynnrd Skynnrd's hotel room as a junior high student. But how cool you got to be on stage with them! Tell us more....
Congrats on the awards! Congrats to the new winners as well.
Being that you live in KY, I'm wondering if the horse one could be true...:)
You were one wild girl! I almost want to believe the leprachaun story--it actually seems real compared to all those other antics.
Lee
Tossing It Out
Congrats!!!
You are a brave girl...LOL!
Doris
I'm with floweringmama---I think they're all true :-)
Jules, you wild woman! As colorful as a rainbow, indeed. I'm catching up tonight and read you backwards, so I already know the lie - but it didn't take away from the read. Congratulations on your awards. Well, deserved. ;)
