It would seem another year is about to become history and many of you take this time to reflect, I do not reflect that well. As promised though, I will end this year with a “Just so you know” post.

Just so you know… I am ending 2011 with an awful head cold. The kind that burns your nose and makes you appear to be crying. Ah-chew!

Holiday Moments

Another week I was not here, another week I was not there either. I was somewhere in my mind I would just as soon not be, ever been there? Have you ever been to that place in your mind where you hate to be but know you must go?

That is where I spent my Christmas. The weekend before Christmas my grandmother was put in the hospital and the week continued to ebb and flow right through to Christmas day. Christmas morning my mom lost her beloved little poodle but don’t be sad I had my moments.

What Time Is It?

Somewhere between evening twilight and darkness, time blurs reality with shadows. It is the time when angels lag behind and evil knows it cannot be seen, you feel small. Do you know this time?

It is the time of day when the wickedness of the world seeps in your room and transforms itself to mystical, dancing pillars of mist. The angels watch, far in the distance but the dancing mist obscures their view. A shadow flinches in the corner, did it actually move?

Almost a month ago I was on track and handling life as it came, then in the blink of an eye that changed. What changed, where have I been, why have I been avoiding you, and most importantly who hid the charger chord to my laptop?

Life throws us many curve balls; some we see coming and we do not swing at. Some we don’t see coming and find ourselves looking back as the ball passes to see nothing but the catcher smiling. That would be me, looking back at one ugly catcher. To answer your questions though…
