I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date… nah, not really. I haven’t had an important date in years and I believe my calendar just cleared a bit more but that is a whole other story. So what am I late for?

To be totally honest I’m not sure but I feel as though I am late for something and it is frustrating. I mean what do you wear for an important meeting you have no clue about? Do I plan for a social class I’m not accustom to or a  designated driver or both?

Anyhoo, it is Friday and you are about to partake in a lovely weekend, I have that feeling too. Before you set off for all that partaking can I point out a few things that caught my attention this week? I’m going to anyway.

I’m sure you all are aware of the potty training underwear for children. You know, the ones that prevent spills, they have these for adults too. But did you know the same verbal pleading that works on children does not have the same effect on grown-ups? Ask an elderly lady if she wants to put on “Big girl panties” and she will slap you.

God in his humorous period created this little plant that I can only assume was put here to drive pet owners crazy. I have no idea what it looks like growing or I would eradicate it but every fall it makes an appearance. Wednesday Ms. Mouse came in looking like she had a Madonna cone bra on her head. Stick-tights, what do they look like and how do you kill them?

The weather is about to take a turn cooler here, rodeo time again. Yes and I wrote about this I have an untamed full bath pillow that must be broke this winter, yippee! The trouble is, I cannot use spurs or a whip. Bummer, I’m good with a whip.

Finally, a statistic. Have you realized there are over 15 million people unemployed and from what I’ve seen we all want to be writers. Don’t let the numbers daunt you, it actually is a great stat to have.

The fact is we will have 15 million books, essays, and short stories to choose from, has to be something for everyone in there. Besides with those odds there also must be at least 2 Hemingway’s in there. Come on show me your old man and his sea!

Great weekend to all and…

I thought the cool weather had set in here and now we're in the midst of a heat wave. I wish we'd get some snow. Now that would be a change for L.A.
Thanks for putting things into perspective. I'm just one little statistic out of 15 million. Cripes!

Hope you enjoy your weekend. Mine seem to run together into a haze of reading, studying, and writing papers.

There are those kinds of plants around here, too. Unfortunately for anyone who goes by them . . .

LOL. That is one upside to the statistic!

Hi Jules
I thought you were going to talk about cat nip for awhile there. LOL

I heard on the news that we as a country are still around 9% unemployed. They aren't counting me so it just went up to 10%. But Spain has 22%. Ugh!

I hope all is well with you rodeo girl.

With 15 million aspiring writers out there, perhaps it's a good time to be an editor. Given what I've seen published in periodicals lately, there must be a dearth of good editors.

Haha, it's nice to get caught up with your blog, what a great post. I had to laugh about the big girl panties and getting slapped, I can imagine that wouldn't go over too well.

Clancy just got caught in one of the infamous sticky plants the other morning. They are a true nightmare, no question.
