Just So You Know…

Saturday, July 16, 2011

My word, yes it has been a week. I had good intentions and did make it to a few of you this week but not like I had planned. I hope you are still out there.

I have a better plan for this next week and hopefully life will cooperate. Until then I thought I would give another installment of “Just so you know.” It has been awhile…

Just so you know… I have found the map to the universe. It is printed on my eyeballs or at least they look like universe road maps.
Just so you know… flip-flop connoisseurs. Target sells a yoga mat flip-flop that equals the twice-as-much name brand. My biggest question now is, “black or brown flip-flops?”
Just so you know… I had an epiphany in the shower this week. Childhood games did prepare us for life. Not to be politically incorrect but do you remember, “Smear the queer?” A post in draft.
Just so you know… my dogs need a bath. Yesterday a flea jumped on my shoulder and shouted, “Did you not see the room service sign, clean my room please.”
Just so you know… I received my LAST unemployment check. Which now…
Just so you know… I’m looking for the bank that is going to loan our government money to pay their bills. I’m not an accountant but something seems wrong with this method of bookkeeping.
Just so you know… my Grandmother is losing her grip on time. The same person visited 3 days in a row and apparently I was around when she was a girl. Neither of which is reality but I agree anyway.
Just so you know… be afraid of the “Tea Party.” 4th of July I saw their booth and their wares. T-shirts reading, “Yes, I’m a Racist.” I guess hate tactics are now a moral value.
Just so you know… music can soothe your soul but it can also annoy nosy neighbors. I love volume knobs.
Just so you know… I discovered a new fitness routine. “What is that on the floor?” Reach to pick it up, nothing there, take a step and there it is again and you repeat this down the hall. This is what happens when you do not clean your glasses, fitness due to laziness.
Just so you know… I really miss you guys.

Now you know why I did start blogging while I had a job, 16 hours is too long to look at a monitor. I sure hope life is treating you well and the tide has turned.

If I have missed something important I should know about, please leave me a comment. Until next week…

Have a great weekend!
Peace…

Monopoly was the game that prepared me for life. And I live on Baltic Avenue not Park Place. But at least I've avoided jail.

LOL, I love the headphones too. And won't another belly shake stir up your grandma's memory and put it back on track. Nevertheless take care of her.

Why do epiphanies always happen in the shower? I think that is where I also realized that cleaning the house was a workout in itself. What more does a woman need?
Actually, a little puff and spa time would be nice after all that work. Whew... ;)
Hang in there, Jules.

yes, I have seen such a T shirt last year in Tampa, FL. Was one of the reasons to consider whether I should move here or not.
Even more embarrassing I used this phrase of yours as i remembered it from a few weeks ago and nothing else came into my mind. Now searching for another title....Lost my wits between bananas and melons...

I agree on the bookkeeping. The way things are going just doesn't seem like a good way of balancing a budget.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

lol Smear the Queer, yeah I played that. One of the boys broke his arm and then it was forbidden but we played anyway on the vacant lot.
And if there is like here, that poor flea came inside to get the hell away from the mosquitos.

Never heard of "Smear the Queer", but until I was in high school I always thought of the word "queer" to be an adjective.
My unemployment ran out at the beginning of the year. Hope my situation doesn't become overly dire in the months to come and hope you find a good resolution as well.

I can't keep up with blogging either. I'm having a hard time keeping up with social networking, and I'm not even on twitter. By the way, I hate the term "social networking".

I'm so sorry about unemployment running out. I hope something works out and soon.

The Tea Party Scares me. The direction our country is taking and how people don't listen to one another anymore is scaring me.

Hey Jules! I'm baaaack! At least I have DSL at home now, so I'll have more time to get on here to keep up. Like Theresa, it's been easier to keep up in one paragraph or sentence bytes on Facebook. But I've missed blogging and my Blogger friends.

All haters scare me. Especially haters that ban together. And they're beginning to piss me off, too. Hmmmmm...

I've missed you much! that rebel, Olivia
P.S. I'm sorry about your Grandma. Sending a prayer your (and her) way.

I'm so sorry about your grandma, Jules. I know how hard that kind of situation is to deal with. Also sorry about the unemployment running out, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that things will be on the upswing for you soon.

I laughed about the flea and room service, so funny. I can relate!

Just so YOU know, your blog is always a pleasure to visit. Hugs to you!

The Tea Party doesn't sound too delightful. I guess we now know what kind of person Donald Trump is, since he almost ran for president under The Tea Party. Maybe they should have a T-shirt with Donald's image that says, "Your fired!" Uncle Sam can be at his back pointing the finger at his marvelous hair.

Wendy S. Marcus is visiting me today.
