Hey, What Happened to my Clarity?

Friday, June 3, 2011

I have to ask, do you ever have one of those moments when everything about your life becomes crystal clear? Perhaps it is one clear item that snowballs into another and then another, suddenly you have a vision.

Well I don’t get those. I have always let my heart guide the way, it has never let me down nor abandoned me and always made me feel like I had a purpose to my being. But lately I’m not sure and now I’m starting to think I need to see a cardiologist. I’m not sure anymore where this heart of mine is heading or what message it is trying to send.

Take my rain barrel. Constructing it the drill slipped, hole got too big for the spigot. No problem, buy larger spigot. Storms came, body slammed the barrel broke spigot but I insisted and fixed the spigot. Now I have jinxed the entire state, hot, humid and no rain insight. If your garden dies blame it on me, I was following my heart.

Then we have all my broken lawn equipment. Two of the three have been repaired, sort of. Leaf blower works with a little extra effort but the weed eater now serves double duty. Should you hear a weed eater but only see a white cloud of smoke moving up your fence line, it’s me being neighborly. Trimming your fence and spraying for mosquitos.

Now the lawn tractor Ms. Twister broke. The repairman did come and yes, he did fix it but my heart just had to step in. The repairman said take it for a test drive I need to make sure it cuts okay, so I did and it cuts fine. I went to dismount; baggy shorts caught the blade height level and ripped the cap off. Now I have a duct-taped together lawn tractor, it’s the latest fad don’t you know.

I am beginning to wonder what my 10 day hiatus has done for my psyche. I remember sitting one day and trying to find it but all I got was, “recalculating.”

Then I tried to send it an email, instant message and a tweet. The response was all the same, “An error has occurred, contact your system administrator.”

For the weekend I’ll be here sweating, waiting for the recalculating to finish and my system administrator to get back to me.

You all have a great weekend.

Peace…

Oh, dear. I say leave the system administrator and go get a donut. I'm sure your clarity will be restored after a sugar rush. ;o) Happy Friday!

I've got some yellow color glasses that I put on and bingo, return clarity. A cacao bar wouldn't hurt, either.

Well, the common theme here is yard work. Could you possibly cover most of the grounds with gravel and/or concrete? (Slope it toward a cement pond, and Voila! no need for rain barrel.) Then you can get rid of the weed whacker and weed with Roundup and Triox. As for clarity, it always comes after the fact with me. For instance, once my ex was gone for good, I saw with clarity that he was a perfect ass. Love is blind, as well as deaf, dumb, and brain damaged. :) Have a calm weekend, my friend.

It seems nature is contriving against you to see the real mettle in you. Prove it now, straight in the face (of adversity) :)
And hey, umm, get a mechanic.

Hi Jules, here's the Happy Wanderer, I try to take one day at a time, otherwise I may get upset if the long awaited phone call from my son don't arrive, I have phoned him but no reply, sent a text for his birthday and text the grandchildren......not one word.
Having a great time the last concert tonight then off to Boston tomorrow.
Take care.

Goodness, well, building patience is a skill and something worthy too. I say you should just chill with lemonade and have a good weekend. :)

P.S. Will email you about getting together. Sorry - busy day. No lawn mowers involved just a lot of pesky errands and stuff.

Take care.

Wow, I hope your lawn equipment stops their revolt! It's their duty to be at your beck and call and do as you command!

I agree with the general consensus, you need a vacation! I hope things settle down and that you have a great weekend!

Oh Jules, the weight of jinxing the entire state is much to much to bare! Your system administrator will clearly see that and make the correct adjustments. Hang in there while the recalculation goes on! ;)

Truthfully Jules, clarity is not all that it is cracked up to be...I prefer fuzzy at times as it takes the edge off of all the expectations.
Deep breaths and go with your heart; it doesn't steer you wrong!
