Just So You Know…

Stop! Before we get to the Just so you know, I want you to know we are okay. It appears some of my lovely followers saw Kentucky, storms, and worried a bit. I am sorry I caused undo stress.

Just another reason I love blogging. Nowhere have I found such an abundance of wonderful, caring people, sort of brings a tear to your eye. I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Now on with the just so you know.

Just so you know… with my allergies and the storms having severe pressure changes, Wednesday I suffered from vertigo. Yes, I was drunker than a hoot-owl.
Just so you know… the storms also, body slammed my rain barrel. I applied quick-stop to the cut and told it to get back in the fight.
Just so you know… I do not give a hoot about Arnold Schwarzeneggers illegitimate child. That is between him and Maria. I just hope Maria is saying, “On NO, you won’t be back,” and doing so with a snap.
Just so you know
… I have decided to become a mushroom farmer. It seems I now have an abundance of them.
Just so you know… the dogs hear the sound of rain and I swear they have learned to curse.
Just so you know
…  I installed a squirrel proof bird feeder. Now the little buggers stand on the ground waving their little squirrel arms, giving the birds directions on how to shake and tilt it so the seed drops out.
Just so you know… one year later and I still have a virgin canoe. I’m thinking of putting it on poles and turning it into a canopy for a tiki bar.
Just so you know… they have trained shrimp to use tread mills. Always wondered where that skinny shrimp came from. Now if they can generate electricity it is worth it.
Just so you know… the dog pool opens this weekend, dog swimmies are optional.
Just so you know … I have made beer cheese, Benedictine dip and potato salad, the rest will be done on the grill.
Just so you know… this is “get away day” and I won’t be getting any further than my back yard. Between the squirrels, birds, dogs, the monster under the shed, that is crowd enough for me.

There you have it, my meager just so you know. With all the instantaneous destruction that has occurred over the last several months I encourage us all to relish this holiday.

Hug your family, call a lost friend, remember our soldiers past and present but be safe. The most important thing we have is the freedom to express our love and each other.

Happy Holiday and Peace…

My 2 soldiers are home this weekend.-- I am very happy!
Why is your canoe still a virgin? I thought I saw you using it to get around in this rain. Oops, that was your waving squirrels paddling across your lawn. ;0)

I opt for filling the canoe with ice and shrimp cocktail, as I don't think the squirrels would bother it...though I don't know about the monster in the shed. Glad to know all is well in your world. Happy Friday! :)

Glad to hear you are safe. I still learn about all these hurricane and tornado corridors and feel pretty much exposed to whatever comes along!

Glad you are okay. I love this post. And I agree about Arnold-- whatever he's done is between him and his family. I think the media should just leave them alone. :P

Oh those squirrels! Picturing that scene in your backyard cracked me up! So glad to hear that you are OK. It is really heartbreaking to watch the news and see all that destruction. Prayers that things start to recover soon. - G

Too funny! I'm glad you're safe. We took cover down the road the other night when it got bad. We had to wake the boys (read that "scare them to death"). Poor little Maverick kept hyperventilating and felt like he was going to throw up he was so scared. Brave Ranger kept consoling him.

Wonderfully funny information and glad you are safe.

Why is your canoe still virgin when we have had enough rain to float a battleship?

So glad you are back, safe, and apparently no longer hoot-owled. Not to mention with your sense of humor in tact. Love those cursing dogs and directing squirrels! Have a great weekend/holiday!

I would hang on to the canoe; if we get anymore rain you might need it to get about town. I've had vertigo - it can be kind of amusing as long as you don't have to go out in public.

I've been thinking about you and all the other people in danger during all of these storms. I'm glad you're okay.

I'm with you on Shriver. And I'm with you on a number of other items on your list. My poor aunt tried every anti-squirrel bird feeder, but had no luck. Let's call them what they are "squirrel feeders". My mother-in-law had to give up because she wound up attracting rats from all the seeds spilled by the squirrels.

I am very glad that you and your family are safe. Wonderful post, the other day I was sitting in a park down in Denver waiting for the RTD bus and saw a squirrel caring a piece of pizza in it's mouth. I started laughing because the piece of pizza was bigger than the squirrel. LOL Then I thought hope it does not get sick. A week ago I saw a bird fly into a tree, and I swear it was totally embarrassed. LOL Have a great weekend and holiday!!!
