Kook

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Once upon a time there lived a girl, who for the purpose of this story, was simply know as Kook. Kook looked like no other, talked like no other and to her dismay, was claimed by no other; forever just a Kook.

A simple little creature that was totally content to roam the streets of Kleptomania. Clad with plaid knickers over which a kimono she did wear and on her feet were K-Swiss sneakers, on her head a kite. A fashion queen she was not but she loved the audible gasps as people passed her by.

As evening came, Kook wandered in the local pub. “Just a quick drink,” she told herself, not noticing the mangy knots at the bar. Kook sauntered in thinking only of an ice cold keg.

She felt movement to her rear but harm never crossed her mind. To Kook’s surprise the knots had surrounded her. With the slap of the king knot’s hand to his knee, he summoned, “Come here kimono girl.”

For a moment and only a moment Kook was caught off guard. “My name is Kook, you uncouth knot,” to which the knot began to rise. “I’m warning you I know Kung-Fu,” she declared but the knots paid no mind.

Like wolves circling deer they inched ever so close, thinking her easy prey. Kook stood her ground and just as they were about to pounce, she made her move.

Her left hand pulled up the kimono, her right hand retrieved her kit, for in her kit was the mighty tool. In a tornado spinning motion Kook flung her mighty tool. Spinning and whacking until not one knot remained standing. The battle she had won.

As she left the bar, stepping gently on a knot she replied.” I lied; no Kung-Fu, tire tool and you knots are not kinky enough to handle a kook.”

Happy Hump Day!
Peace….

PS Sorry I was AWOL yesterday, I'll make it up today.

uh ha! You are telling us too much about yourself! LOL j/k I love the story. Good for Kook!!

I just read your comment on my story. I are right. Staff needed so much education about Dementia. That case comes to my mind sometimes. I still remember those two sweet elderly ladies. They were perhaps reliving their "best friends" or "sisters" childhood. The need for companion, the feeling of a hug or a kiss, remain in us, even if our minds are gone.

Kisses anyone??? LOL

Kooks; I know a couple of these people and aren't they really the spice of life? They are the ones with courage to determine how they are going to live and NOT be persuaded to like according to society's rules...
Great "K" word...

I've always liked the word kooky. Great K word. It's so creative what you've done with it here.

And thanks for all your kind comments on my blog while I've been helping my little daughter after her neck surgery!

That story was krazy, but your readers would expect nothing less.

When I saw the picture I thought the story was going to be about Lady Kaka.
