My Life Has the Wrong Horoscope

Friday, March 4, 2011

I am going to fore go the stories and heart touching posts today. My life has a horoscope that does not suit me. I think it has the wrong person, what do you think?

First please allow me to say a huge thank you. My mother took real pleasure in reading all your comments and well wishes. What a great bunch of people you are and thank you ever so much. Now let’s talk about this horoscope thing.

Horoscope: Today my sensual desires will be aroused and I should start a project that brings me pleasure instead of fame and fortune. I’m supposed to give myself permission to act spontaneously. Which after reading this led to the following thoughts and questions?

I haven’t had a sensual desire in so long, what is aroused? If memory serves me, the term sensual was always a project and never even remotely made me think of fame and fortune.

Spontaneous, I need permission? I thought the point was to be in the moment and let the moment move you. I guess I have been doing it wrong. I did not ask permission to leave the house cleaning for another horoscope. I did not get permission to argue with the bank nor for eating chocolate in bed. Oops!

I did spontaneously, in a restaurant parking lot, dance yesterday. I followed this by telling my 92 year-old Grandmother, I would not let her in the car until she, “Got jiggy with it.” She got jiggy with it. Best laugh I’ve had in weeks. Something about seeing a woman on a walker shake her booty made me laugh.

I did spontaneously react to the dogs barking yesterday, something I usually ignore. To my surprise there in my front yard were 2 men and a ladder climbing up on my roof. I screwed this up.

I opened the door, “Excuse me?” I was informed they were here to fix my chimney, to which I asked, “Is it free?” I guess it wasn’t; right address, no not Mr. Jones, so away they went. Wonder who would have gotten the bill if I had not said anything and let them fix it?

It is about to rain another gully warsher or so they say; no spontaneously going out today. I did collect the winter amassing of dog droppings the other day; yes sir, yes sir four bags full. It is better than stepping in it.

My life is not so grand but ever so entertaining. In closing I have to ask, do you like Lady Gaga? Whether you do or not I have been following her antics. The latest with the 10 year-old covering “You Were Born This Way.”

I love the fact she invited the child to her concert to sing. Can you image being 10 and having this adventure, what a memory? So I leave you with the chorus to “You Were Born This Way.”

I'm beautiful in my way
'cause god makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way

Everyone have a great weekend!

Peace…

I'm imagining Mr. Jones getting a bill for chimney work and still having a broken chimney?

And I love that your grandmother played along :D Too fun!!

Not a Gaga fan, but I do like the lyrics to that song.

Have a FABULOUS weekend!
Cheers!

Wonderful post, my daughter was born on 23rd July, some say she is a cancer others say she's leo, so she get's mighty confused at her horoscopes.

Have a good day,
Yvonne.

It doesn't sounds like the horoscope fits you but I do love the poem. It's a lovely way to look at life. I don't want to live regretting, I just want to get things done.

As for the email/commenting thing: I love your kind words for me, I'm just being selfish and trying to alleviate some of the guilt I feel when I run out of time to respond.

I'm not one who thinks about acting spontaneously, but I guess it really doesn't have much to do with much thinking anyway does it.

Anonymoussaid,

I love that you told your grandmother that-lol!

I do like Lady Gaga's music, as for her, I don't really pay much attention to her other than listening to her music. :-)

It’s cute that your grandmother appeased you by dancing. I do wonder what the chimney fixers would have done if they fix it (assuming you have the same problem at the other people) and then found out they were at the wrong place.

That 10 year old certainly has a valid point. God, does not make mistakes.
And I can imagine a 92 year old dancing away to glory. And its like ROFL.
When we do things on the spur of the moment, we sometimes end up embarrassing ourselves, but most of the times, it is worth it.

Cheers,

I don't really pay much attention to Lady Gaga--I've never listened to her songs.

WEll Jules, this post certainly conjured up visual images; thank you very much....no I don't have a dirty mind, however when you talk of aroused and sensual, well, where does YOUR mind go?
I loved the image of Grandma dancing in the parking lot; good for her!
I certainly hope Mr. Jones is not expecting his chimney to be taken care of...or perhaps you should have cleaned yours and sent Mr. Jones the bill?
I liked the words to the song :)
thanks for sharing...

As a dancer, I ADORE that you danced in a parking lot. By the way, go check out my most recent dance show I just posted on the blog--it's Lady Gaga themed :-)

I know the answer to your horoscope woes. It appears there's another house that has been added to the zodiac calander -- no lie.

All our signs have just been jiggled. Does this mean that the zodiac itself has "gotten jiggy" with life ... and us?

Have a great weekend, Roland

You have the most unique way of looking at things and you always make me smile, chuckle, and laugh out loud.

I think there's something there....you should be doing something with that particular talent. Ever heard of Erma Bombeck? Her passing left a gaping hole....maybe you could try your hand at filling it.

You're witty and clever and have the right perspective. Just sayin'....

Getting jiggy with your grandmother is as spontaneous as it gets. And maybe your dance was more sensual than you know!

When I was a teen, I used to read the horoscope each month in "Cosmopolitan" magazine. I realized I was NOT living up to my horoscope!

I love the idea of a Jiggy Grandmother; Sounds like something I would do. We do goofy things all the time. I had my daughter n' friend go on a scavenger hunt, at a big box store. Dora the Explorer was the theme. They gathered all of it up, but ran around with sunglasses n' lunch boxes. This was a few years ago...but so funny! When we go to the store later in the evening, we play basketball, with food carts. I'm surprised I haven't been kicked out. We do find a spot, where no one is. We only play a short time.

Sensual was eating chocolate in bed, silly! lol

Fun post~
