Eye Candy Blog Fest

Saturday, January 1, 2011

Staring the New Year participating in a Blog Fest, oh well, guess I know what I'll be doing this year. Ms. Vicki Rocho is hosting the "Eye Candy" blog fest today.

Simple little thing, just post an image that you love looking at. True to form I could not decide on just one, so I included categories I love to look at. Here are my entries.

Impressionist Art
Dans La Prairie by Claude Monet
Cannot think of a better way to spend the day than dreaming of what was going through the impressionist's mind.

Georgia O'Keefe
Jack in the Pulpit
I absolutely love her work. She took painting simple flowers to the ultimate.

Black and White Photography

No color what so ever but the emotion in two tone pigment speaks volumes.

And finally I leave you with what I hope we all are this year. The one true stand out that always is wearing a smile on our face.

Thank you Vicki for hosting this awesome fest. Everyone hop on over and check out the rest of the entries.  "Eye Candy" Blog Fest.  Happy New Year everyone!

Peace...

Those are fantastic! I bought an outdated calendar with impressionist paintings in it because I plan to recycle the images into other cool things....and your first picture is on the cover!

Thanks for joining in the fun. Hope you enjoy the other entries as much as I am.

Each of them is lovely in its own way. My favourites are the Monet (adore him), the giggling kid (such depth of emotion) and the smilie face, because that is what I wish for all of you.

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

You selected beautiful art work - the colours in the Georgia O'Keefe and the Monet compliment each other.
Your photo selections also brought a smile to my face.

Oh my gosh, I love impressionist art and B&W photos! And these are great examples.

Georgia O'Keefe? Um, all I ever see in her paintings is female anatomy. But I think that was her intention. Anyhoo...

Happy New Year!

Anonymoussaid,

I love the impressionists. And the Happy Face pic is classic. Sometimes it pays to be different. Besides, conforming is boring.
