And How Was Your Weekend?

Monday, December 6, 2010

My beautiful people, it is Monday. How did that happen? Time seems to transpire whether we wish to use it or not and so went my weekend, it transpired. When I left you Friday I was heading to the bath room to rid myself of some lemonade and I did. What I found though was Jell-O.

Saturday I awoke to our first snow fall and it continued throughout the weekend. Thus the Jell-O, a stay in and shake sort of weekend.

I love waking before dawn and having the first rays of light cast color reflections on newly fallen snow. It seems to make the world seem so pure and peaceful.

I took the weekend off to enjoy the new white blanket. No I do not ski or anything like that I just love playing in it. I don my multi-colored moon boots, my ski cap, my gloves and my ever so warm Carhartt cover-all's and out I will go.

Here are a few of the photos I took. I had a little trouble as being cold it was hard not to shiver and center things. That and it was still snowing hard, was afraid the camera would get too wet.

Before I go I need to acknowledge a few awards. The lovely Ms. Yvonne over at Welcome To My World of Poetry bestowed these two on me.

I love Yvonne and her poetry. From across the pond we have come to know each other as well as we can through these small screens and I value her following more each day. She was part of the first to follow my blog and for that I am deeply grateful. A warm smile to you Yvonne and thank you SO much.

The Golden Eagle at The Eagles Aerial Perspective then bestowed this one on me.

The Eagle is another follower of mine who has become loyal and endearing to me. What a diverse presentation on her blog she has and I love anything diverse.  Of course the diversity relates to writing, book reviews, how-to, etc... I thank you Golden for thinking me worthy of following and then handing me an award. Continue to soar my friend.

Who am I passing these on to? I hate to say this and I’m sorry but I am reserving that right at this time. However, if you are having a Monday like my last Friday, please feel free to except one as a smile.

There are reasons why I take the cheaters way out on these but that is a later post. I will try to find the words to compile that post for later this week, for now…

Enjoy your Monday, pace yourself we have 4 more days to go.

BTW, my heat is still only partially repaired. Warm but not efficient. A death in the repairman's family has delayed the permanent repair.

Peace…

Thank you for the kind words, I enjoyed your post very much though I saw enough snow last week. Today we have a heavy frost and it's freezing, I was going to Spain to see my son but the Spainish airlines went on strike and there is a backlog of passengers so will wait a bit longer before I go.

Have a good day.
Yvonne.

Oh, I'm jealous. We haven't gotten any snow yet. I guess I have to live vicariously thru your pictures. :)

Love seeing the snow and even being out in it some. As long as it's a novelty for me I like it, but snow and cold as a lifestyle would certainly not be for me.
I guess I can adapt to just about anything though.

I like the first crisp snowfall too. But I'd just as soon stay inside.

Congratulations of the awards. You deserve them.

Such beautiful pictures! I am a sucker for snow (fortunately, or I'd have to relocate permanently), and there are very few things that fill me with such peace as snowfall. Enjoy :)

Great pictures, Jules. We got a ton of snow this weekend as well. I hope you can stay warm. This cold front has been pretty horrid. Good luck to you and your repairman's family. At least you have some puppies to help keep you warm in the meantime.

That is very sad about your heat and the repairman's loss. I do hope things get better soon sending you fairy dust to help warm your day. *~*

Thank you so much for the mention, Jules. :) Enjoy the award, and congratulations on the others that you received! They're definitely deserved.
