Do You Want a Quickie?

Monday, November 29, 2010

Get your minds out of the gutter. This is just a short snippet, a let me tell you sort of thing. I know many of you are in the final hours of NaNo so I’m going to be kind and keep this short. Aren’t you glad?

Besides today is cyber Monday and we all know you will be scouring the web for that one true deal. May the cyber force be with you and the FedX man bring you undented boxes.

Speaking of cyber Monday, what about Black Friday? Did you find any great deals? Ms Twister found one. A laptop at half off. Now I get the honor of setting it up for her.  I must say, I’m in love with Windows 7. I love having four windows visible at one time. Sure makes set up easy.

Myself, I went for really cheap. I found free photo paper (after rebate), cds for $1.99 and a 8GB flash drive for $11. Those are the handiest little things. Any who..

The main reason for my shortness? I will be taking part in a girls day out for my grandmothers 92nd birthday. A visit to the chiropractor, lunch at some bland diner and a visit to the shop of her choice. About all the excitement she can handle. Happy Birthday, MD!

I need to get in gear and the shower.

I said this would be short, closing comments. I have a couple of awards to pass on this week. Several of you have asked for a “how-to” and I’m working on it. In the spirit of the season I want to remind everyone to put on their happy face. Smile like the Grinch when you snatch that last sale item from the shelf.

Peace…

I didn't really participate in black Friday, I love shopping but fighting off people is not my idea of a good shopping experience. I did go out on Saturday and get a few x-mas presents. most of my x-mas shopping is done. have a great girls day!

I avoid black Friday because it reminds me of the plague. Cyber Monday? Well I am blogging. Normally I shop early and have everything by Thanksgiving. What can I say, this is an awful year and no money.

Anonymoussaid,

what's great about Black Friday is you can get a lot of the deals online too, same price. We took advantage this year to get a dishwasher and a mattress set. :-) Our local news showed a shopper screaming at another shopper "it's just a toy for crissakes! quit shoving me!" and it reminded me why I never go to the stores on black friday!

Found a few deals while surfing, drinking hot chocolate and wearing
comfy slippers. I love to shop online; Not in the mood to be shoved inline, I might shove back ;-D

Happy day for your Grandma and you. As neither Thanksgiving, Black Friday nor Cyber Monday exist in Germany I just hold my breath and imagine what I am going to do next year. Stuck in middle? Love ya

So far we've been lucky...through a combination of Black Friday, Cyber-Monday, and other special deals, everything we've bought so far this year has been on sale. Just call me thrifty. :)
