Do You Have Stormy Dreams...

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

She dreamt of storm clouds. Clouds of towering, bellowing shades of gray that escalate into oblivion and can overtake the soul. Ominous clouds of vision that darken all in which we see and in her dream she was longing for...

Deep within the realm of sleep, she sat solely. Eyes focused squarely on the distant horizon she watched as her dark clouds grew. As if on cue and sensing the wonder in her eyes, toward her across the sky the storm did ramble.

In awe she watched as the altitudes covered heaven and slowly fell within the darkness devoid of light. With the wind she felt coolness in its breath and the hairs on her arm began to dance. Searching for emotions, not feeling, enjoying just the numb, in awe she continued to be. The storm was not in awe and with a voice of anger, spoke.

A single clap of thunder stopped her heart and being human, flinched. In that one moment her eyes blinked, the storm did not and rolled right in. Alone with darkness all around; the storm began to breath as if to knock her down.

A backward step of balance jarred her from the stance of awe. Caught off guard she screamed obscenities at the storm. Not wanting to let the towering darkness knock her down a stance of defiance over came her. The storm cocked its eye, lifted a brow and began to take note.

Defeat, fear, isolation; are weapons of the storm. Awe, numbness, defiance; are counteractions of its prey. A violent clap of submission and with it comes the rain. Molecules of moisture falling; invoking feeling, they are together deep within a dream.

The storm wept tears of misunderstanding; of the evilness it did not hold. The girl soaked up the tears, washing away her darkness and felt one with that which held the altitudes of heaven.

Crap, wake up. I have to go vote, maybe that is why I dreamed of storms.

I may be gone until Friday I haven’t made my mind up yet but I will be around.

Peace…..

I have stormy dreams both during the day and night these days - but then life is pretty stormy in general right now.

Happy voting!

I haven't had stormy dreams for awhile. But my character does cause the villain sends them. You tell wonderful stories about important topics. Much better than boring schedules.

You are so funny--you suck us into a story and then give us a punch line. I need to go take a shower and go vote as well. Then after I vote I may have to shower again. This year voting is a dirty business. And it's supposed to be in the 90s in the L.A. area. I'm going to walk to the polling place since it's fairly close. I don't think it's too hot yet.

Have a great week!

If you do it, let me know!! I have a friend trying to get me to do it with her and I'm debating it... LIKE I have time to add ANOTHER thing!! LOL! But if I do, I'd want to connect if YOU do. My words will NEVER be so beautiful! Mine would just be to see if I CAN cross the finish line of meeting the challenge.
