Sunday Tidbits of Me

Sunday, September 26, 2010

I had not planned a real post today I am truly trying to take a few days off here and there. Besides, I have so many things running amok in my dysfunctional brain today a real post was out of the question. What I do want to share are some interesting tidbits of information.

In case you are interested and want to see more of my fair state, NBC will be broadcasting the FEI or WEG games at noon and I believe this is nationally. For those whom are not in the states I will be composing a photo post of  images of the games for the near future. Keep in mind if you watch the broadcast, this is not the normal appearance of the Kentucky Horse Park. Sort of think of it like when someone visits and you shove the mess in the closet, NBC will not be airing our closet.

On the blogging front. In case you have not noticed I'm occasionally skipping posts. This in part is due to my need to find a life again, which I'm sorry to say requires time away from this PC. I will still follow and comment but I need to wake from this slumber and find a source of income. Got any suggestions?

Also WELCOME to my few new followers. Please leave me a comment and introduce your self. Google is not doing such a fine job of letting me know exactly who is new here. In fact the count goes up but the profiles stay the same.

On the family front. My father is doing well and has been released to physical therapy. Amazingly they have not changed his diet at this point which means, "Gravy and biscuits," for all.

On the weather. Thank the lord we finally received some rain and more is on the way! With the cooler temperatures I've so wanted a fire in the fire pit but we are under a "Fire Ban" currently and without rain this will remain.

That's the tidbits. Hope your Sunday is packed with relaxing laughter.

Peace my followers

PS NO that is not my fire pit but it looked good.

I've noticed that same thing with the Google Friend Connect thingie. I see the numbers go up, but I can't always see who the new people are. Very annoying and it makes me all kinds of worried that new readers think I am ignoring them.

Oh well - I see them if they leave a comment ;)

I have new followers bit don't know who.
I enjoyed your unexpected post, pleased your father is progressing well.

Thanks for the visit and comment,
You said about "Dressing your dogs up" funnily today I found an old photo of my dog Sheba dressed in pne of my daughters' dresses.
Had a good laugh but there were bitter sweet memories.

Good luck on the employment front.

Yvonne.

Anonymoussaid,

I'm really surprised they didn't change your father's diet!

I've noticed that if the count goes up on followers, but I don't see anyone new, I will click on it and look at the followers, they are on the last page of them, usually without a profile pic, just a generic person outline. I figured out that sometimes it means the follower has a blogger id/profile without a blog. Some people do that so they can follow blogs and comment without being anonymous....and then sometimes it just seems to take awhile for the person to show up.

another tidbit: if someone follows you privately, they aren't figured into your follower count. I know this from my feed.

I keep my fingers crossed for the employment situation! I am wondering how I will be doing next year searching for a job in Virginia! Have a good start into the week!

I started out posting every day and then found that it was taking time away from my actual writing and family. So I had to scale back.

YAY on your dad. YAY, yay, yay.

Yes, I agree. I need to do the same.

I have been having trouble commenting lately. I will be signed in and then not, it is very aggravating.

When the number of followers go up but you don't see a face that is usually because they don't have a profile pic, and if you go to the end of your faces to the shadow heads, you will see a new name. That's your new follower. And don't you wish we could make money just hanging out on blogs and posting all day? I would totally do this for a job if I could.

Anonymoussaid,

I did think maybe that was your fire pit...does look good.
Hope something opens for you in the working world..glad Ron is improving. Enjoy the gravy while he can.

I saw that the games were on today but did not get to watch them.

Enjoy the cooler weather. We have had no rain here, but may tomorrow. A friend flying in from vacation says this area looks like the Bad Lands on approach to airport. I did not have to be in the air to know that.

Take care.

It seems quite a few of us are scrambling to find a way to earn an income these days. With your background in architecture, maybe you can do home inspections for those buying/selling homes.

Glad your father is doing better.

We've had no rain all summer here in New England too. Just little bits of it here and there, but everything is parched. I clicked over from Journaling Woman, enjoyed browsing here.
