My Week

Friday, September 3, 2010

We made it. All the way to Friday or should I say Friday made it to us? Either way, here it is and Monday is a Holiday. The last long weekend before the snow flies. And how did we get here?

Monday was a blue day and I passed on some awards. Lovely people you are to care about my blues. I guess it could have been the angel struggle and you are closet WWA fans. Nah.

Tuesday we went for a memory. I do still miss the beach trips but after watching the weather channel in the past 24 hours, not so much. Words Crafter I remember the 1996 ice storm too, but that would be an entire post for me. :)

Wednesday I hit my 200th post and handed out 1 more award. I loved the questions Ellie asked. She is not the first to ask why my blog has this title.  It may be a post one day, who knows?

Thursday I told a story. It was a metaphor. Every time my 90+ year-old grandmother speaks of my grandfather I see that waltz. She so misses him and I hate the pain she feels.

That brings us to today, Friday. A week that ran a full spectrum of color for me and….. I got to visit NIMH.

Blue Monday followed by RED Thursday, sun burnt from Wednesday’s afternoon at the pool. Which by the way is where I found NIMH.
The pool I enjoyed was a new in-ground model at a country home. The dirt and left over concrete in the country setting made me think of the movie “The Secret of NIMH.” It was confirmed when Jeremy flew over eyeing the left over beer cans and when I had to retrieve the suicidal mouse from the deep in. I so hoped it was Jenner. You have to love that, Country Living!

Next week I will be featured as a BON on WOW, I need fifty words that describe me, hum? Can you help me out here? While you’re at it, what are your 3 favorite posts? Drop me a comment.

Peace my children….

remember Monday is for workers not Bosses. Rest!

Hi, I'm Jo stopping by from 'WOW' as I noticed we have similar blog titles.

Curiosity naturally getting the best of me, I meandered on over to see what your piece of the sky is all about -- I admit, I still don't know-ha! ;)

However, fret not -- I am a tenacious one and I can tell you that in addition to already digging your lyrical writing style in which I can detect a lovely lilt, I am determined to get to the bottom of this little Scooby Doo mystery.

So, I am happily becoming one of your rainbow's follower and will continue to read and skulk around, picking up little peices of treasure to save for a rainy day.

I am so glad I stopped by to take in a little of your rainbow, as I could use a little more brightness in my life. Can't we all?

Happy to meet you, Jules -- have a beautiful weekend!

Peace and serenity,
~Jo

You deserve to be a Blogger of Note--hope you pick up some followers from this. It's been a colorful week, which not only reflects the rainbow, but also foreshadows the leaves that will soon be changing colors in the parts of the country where this happens.

late again here. we had too much going on here in preparation for a party last night. 50 words....hmmm. would agree with two of the words above. creative, and honest. i would add transparent and genuine. even as a newcomer, this was apparent/obvious right from the get-go. i loved the post about the "waltz." it really flowed so nicely!!!

We can indeed all use more brightness in our lives, and this is such a bright blog. Your personality, that I'm just beginning to see, shines all over it, and I'm glad I found you through KarenG's BBQ just now. I'm eager to follow and learn more about you.
