Help.. What's This Mean?

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

I know there are people who believe deeply in the star-studded concept of horoscopes and to you I mean no disrespect. I just find them entertaining; I do not plan my life around them. Sometimes I find them enlightening, sometimes worrisome and sometimes they just confuse me. Like take today’s bit of gibberish:

“It seems as if a phase of your life is falling away, yet you aren't that unhappy about its demise. If you are floating along, waiting for something to come up and inspire you, this could be it. It's like expecting guests, yet you don't know who they are or when they will arrive. Nevertheless, there is a lot to do right now, so get busy without wasting a precious moment.”

Exactly what is this telling me? What phase, where and when is it going? Are they insinuating my working days are over? Well excuse me, but no, I would be unhappy. I do rather enjoy paying my debts and eating.

If I am floating…well what if I am not floating but more like a helium balloon with a small leak? Is it the floating or the waiting that is to be my inspiration? Does this  mean since I’m not truly floating I will receive no inspiration? That’s discrimination.

Houseguests, what houseguests? Oh you’d better tell me when they are coming. Why would the stars drop such a bombshell and not give specifics? I do not want strangers to come a calling, especially if they did not call first. I guess this is the reason for getting busy and not wasting time.

To recap what I took from this; there is an unknown part of my life phasing its self out and apparently I’m happy about it. That only if I float around waiting will I be inspired, company is coming and I’d better clean the house. Oh, I did not want to clean the house.

Not what I had planned at all. How about you is that how you see my star planned day? Did I miss read this humorous gibberish? Please if I did correct me with a comment.

Jules, I'm still waiting for a man in brown to change my life that was weeks ago.
I enjoyed your post, I only read them for entertainment, otherwise I'd be a nervous wreck before long.

Take care.

You know sometimes we hang onto jobs, people, lifestyles, habits when we should just let go. I mean I hang on tight instead of letting the natural progression of life take me where it should. Maybe there is a phase that isn't what you need anymore. But I'm just guessing, or is it life experience?:)

Horoscopes are fun, but I don't take them seriously either.

Eerily it almost sounds like it could relate to the break-in you talked about 2 posts prior to this one. "guests, you don't know who they are or when they will arrive"-- the thief in the night.

I don't let horoscopes guide me, but I like to read them because when the writer is good they sometimes have some interesting quotes. And they are generic. The one you quoted can be applicable to us all.

Unexpected guests? I think it's telling you that your lawn is about to be invaded by gophers.
But then, that's just my interpretation!

Anonymoussaid,

Be very careful ... sounds like a wormhole may open up at any time and unleash something you least suspect.

I'm glad the ladies don't take these seriously. Lee, I thought the same thing. I'd better not get gophers, I already have Chip n' Dale. Great just what I need, to have watch out for worm holes. What do they look like?

Thanks everyone for your insight.
